Synopsis
“Hold My Heart” is a warm love story about a young father, Harald, who kidnaps his daughter Lisa in despair at not seeing her. They escape but Lisa’s mother, the police and Lisa herself tries to put a spoke in his wheel. The police are eager to arrest him especially after the press get wind of the case.
Harald improvises as well as he can – but police and press is right behind him. Things are getting even more complicated as Lisa gets more and more demanding and suspicious – she is convinced her father is a bank robber.
What begins as a despairing escape abroad turns out to be a peculiar domestic holiday. While the world around them narrows, father and daughter approaches in a relationship they thought was lost. Meanwhile Lisa’s mother and grandmother are forced to realize what they have done – and what they haven’t done.
“Hold My Heart” is a film about a man who tries to remedy a big injustice – a love story, which shows how well things may turn out despite a terrible beginning.
